72 Pages. Beautiful book illustrating 30 of the many, many historical homes of Walla Walla. This Volume III is the final book of this exceptional series of this historically special area. There are literally hundreds of houses here that were built around the turn jof the 19th century. The homes in this Volume III span the period from 1876 to 1919. Each home is distinctive, from the oldest houses to the Alvarado Terrace address of the city's first woman teacher. Some of these awesome homes have undergone careful rehabilitation and are recipients of restorationn awards. Each home is illustrated with a full page photograph facing a page of descriptive text. Contents in Three Parts: South Palouse Historic Area, Whitman College Historic Area, and Outlying Areas. The inside of the front cover is illustrated by a map of the Whit man College Area and the inside of the back cover has the South Palouse Historic Area.
