About the Author: Raghuveer M. Rao is a Professor of Electrical Engineering and a member of the graduate faculty of the Center for Imaging Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He is an active researcher in the areas of signal/image processing and digital communications.
Ajit S. Bopardikar obtained his BE degree from the University of Bombay and his MSc(Engg) degree in Electrical Communication Engineering from the Indian Institute of Science. He is a doctoral candidate at the Center for Imaging Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology, and has been an active researcher in the areas of wavelet transforms and filter banks.
