Synopsis: The faithful, the weary, and the faithless converge on an inner-city church during a raging blizzard. Seeking solace and answers - or to just get away from what awaits them outside the warm comfort of the Sanctuary - each in their own way, soon learns from God about who they are and where their destinies lie. Karen Kelly Boyce's second novel delves deeper into the mysteries of faith in this richly woven tale of self-discovery.
About the Author: Karen Kelly Boyce was born in Jersey City, New Jersey. She learned her faith and love of reading at the hands of the Sisters of Mercy. Only a few blocks away from the Barron Library, she spent most of her summer days and weekends lost in the stories and biographies of famous people. The turbulent sixties led her away from her first loves of church, reading, and writing. The only part of her faith that remained was the belief that we were made to help others. That belief led her to graduate as an RN in 1974. Karen married in 1975, and raised two children. After going through a Life in the Spirit Seminar, she found peace and eternal love in the faith that would sustain her. In 1990, she became very ill and was eventually diagnosed with end stage Lyme Disease and was unable to work as a nurse anymore. As a disabled person, Karen's love of reading was rekindled and her love of writing born again. Karen is the author of two other books - According To Thy Word and a Bend in the Road: A Year's Journey Through Breast Cancer. The book you are holding and According To Thy Word have received the esteemed Catholic Writers Guild seal of approval.
