I spent a month in Japan, a week in Chosen, three weeks in sailing to Australia, with brief stops in tthe Philippines, seven weeks in Australia , two weeks in Java, and five weeks in travelling along the Chinese coast from Canton to Shanghai and thence by rail to Peking and Mukden".
