Also included are three maps, one in color, one in b&w (both plates) and one b&w map laid into back of book, measuring 22" tall by 29" wide. This map depicts William H Ashley's journey in the West. All maps are in fine condition with no tears or soiling. This book is a compilation of journal entries and letters that surround the life and explorations of William H. Ashley between the years of 1822-1838. Mosst of the letters and entries are written by or to Ashley.
