About the Author: Judy Salomon was born in the Bronx, New York. She earned her B.S. in journalism from New York University and went on to take post graduate courses at Long Island University and Queens College. Ms. Salomon then embarked on a career in teaching in the New York City school system, retiring in 1984. Since then, she volunteered for seven years lecturing in junior high schools and high schools of Nassau County on topics dealing with child abuse, neglect, and parenting skills.
