About this Item

Los Angeles, 1969. Octavo, bound in full yellow cloth on which has been mounted a three-dimensional collage by Larry Rivers, in the original clear acetate wrapper. 113 pages, with color and black and white plates by Larry Rivers throughout. Limited to 200 copies specially bound, and signed by Kenneth Koch and Larry Rivers. A very fine copy. A long poem by one of the principal figures of the New York School poets, which included John Ashbery and John O'Hara. "Drawing on surrealism, these poets attempted to translate the unconscious into poetry by using dreamlike juxtapositions and emphasizing the present, ordinary, though often bizarre, moment."
