About this Item

New. This hilarious and alternative view of Malaysia's history up to independence was originally written by a group of Malaysian students in London in 1979 and then resurrected in this printing for the 50th anniversary of Malaysia's independence in 2007. It's written in comic book form and full of facts that somehow have escaped many other historians. An easy and entertaining read ending with the startling fact that on the declaration of 'independence' in 1957 75% of rubber plantation acerage, 61% of tin production and 75% of services and trade were still in foreign, mostly British, hands. 174 pages including a bibliography. Weight 0.30 Kg.Postage within Malaysia is free. Bookseller Inventory # ML1185
