Lovely in ornately stamped black and (pseudo) gold boards; some minor rub to corners. Printed and bound by the Times-Journal Publishing Company, Oklahoma City. One gathers the entries were supplied or at least approved by the subjects, though the dedication assures us "Not a single biography has been paid for in any manner whatsoever," and even apologizes for some omissions as "In some instances, where cooperation was most seriously sought, it was least forthcoming." The vast majority of the most notable citizens of Oklahoma City in 1931 appear to have been older white males, with the fields of business, politics and law predominating. (Do not look here for artists, scholars, or blues musicians.) 120 pp. including index. Reduced from $110. Bookseller Inventory #
