About the Author:

Ken Babbs graduated from Miami University in Ohio and was in Wallace Stegner's Graduate Writing Program at Stanford University. Later, as a Marine Corps Captain, he flew helicopters in Vietnam. A founding father of the Merry Pranksters and a working partner of Ken Kesey, he helped Kesey write the novel Last Go Round. He contributed to the photo journal On The Bus and wrote and edited The Cassady Issue, a famous small press publication. He has worked as a filmmaker, sound engineer, farmer, writer, performing artist, builder, teacher, musician, actor, and bus driver. He and his wife live in the foothills of the Cascades near Eugene, Oregon.
