John Harvey Kellogg (1852-1943) was an American medical doctor, Seventh Day Adventist and the inventor of Corn Flakes cereal. He advocated a vegetarian and high fiber diet, yogurt enemas, exercise, artificial sunbaths and sexual abstinence. His book "Why the ‘blues’" was first published in 1914 und the title "Neurasthenia or nervous exhaustion."
