A leporello contained within an ornately-carved wooden chest, illustrated throughout with images of ships, sailors, and scrimshaw. Fold-outs throughout contain the lyrics to popular sea chanties, such as "Shanandoah" and "Rolling Home." The text explores the history and traditions of this musical form, and how the songs were integrated into the sailors' tasks aboard the ships. Extremely fine. (Bradbury p. 175).
