Original orange cloth with blue lettering on spine. Copy is quarter bound with tan cloth on spine. 5 3/4 X 8 1/2 inches. 221 pages. Copy has 12 black and white illustrations by Paul Bacon (1923- ). Copy is inscribed by Mrs. Bracken, which reads " To Lois, with a warm island, aloha from Peg Bracken, Carmel, 4/22/81. Dust jacket is illustrated with different images, a car, a couple, a woman painting, a child skipping rope, a house and pumpkin, palm trees and a father and child. Peg Bracken (1918- 2007) was an American author of humorous books on cooking, housekeeping and etiquette. A black and white photo of Mrs. Bracken is on the back cover.
