It contains feature articles and photo features from World War One the the present day. A majority of the subjects are American aircraft types. There are usually two or three long articles in each issue - with a mostly pictorial content. Thee are typically 54 A4 size pages in each issue, with many colour and b+w photos, and some drawings. It was first published in 1971 as a monthly, but later (1975? ) it became bi-monthly. From then onwards it has been published on alternate months with 'Airpower'.
