1st Bantam Edition Trade softcover (1985). It includes Woodrell's first published story "Woe To Live On" which was first published in The Missouri Review in 1983. SIGNED by Woodrell on a bookplate (signature only) attached to page opposite story's first page. The story was later expanded into a novel in 1987 by Henry Holt publishers. Also included in anthology book are stories by Anne Tyler, Tim O'Brien, Richard Ford, Margaret Atwood, Laurie Colwin, Tess Gallagher etc. Some page age-toning. No spine crease.
