Fairbanks (1909-2000) was an iconic American actor from Hollywood’s Golden Era (his credits include "Gunga Din"), and a highly decorated naval officer of World War II. Markey was also a highly decorated naval officer, and also had a long history in Hollywood (as an author, producer, and screenwriter for 20th Century Fox).
