Bound in full leather, green, beveled boards with 18 dime-size, gilt fleur de lis within a double-lined gilt border on the upper cover, less decoration on the lower cover. The green leather covers transition to slightly saddle-tan beveled edges and a full saddle-tan spine that displays a gilt title, limited decoration, and four raised bands. Statement on the title page reads: "3265 illustrations from photographs and six full-page plates in colour and several charts." There are two, tiny abrasions on the spine near the heel and very ligth wear on the heel. Some age toning; minimal wear overall. This is a magnificent publication.
