From book, "In this book, the designs for cover, title-page, and general make-up were done by Grace Gallatin Seton". Ernest Thompson Seton (1860-1946) was an author and wildlife artist who was very involved in the founding of the Boy Scouts of America. He was the first Chief Scout and a contributer to the Boy Scout Handbook. His first wife, Grace Gallatin Seton, was born in Sacramento in 1872.
