About this title

Synopsis:

The ingredients of this smorgasbord, this set of unrelated stories, have a common feature - they all tickle the taste buds that causes mirth. Someone scanned this set of stories and asked what the purpose was - why I wrote them or what I hoped to achieve with them. The answer is simple - I did not write it for any purpose! I played with words as an artist with hues and brushes. I strung together ideas and even half ideas. The result, I'm sure, is much better than the efforts of twelve monkeys with typewriters and unlimited supply of paper and ribbon for a period of twenty years. Dedicated to the memory of Vinay Venkatesh.

About the Author:

Humor has always been an integral part of Prakash Rao's life. Growing up in an extended family of punsters - in three languages - and practical jokers, Prakash honed his repartee skills on a strict diet of material from the master, Sir Pelham Grenville Wodehouse. As all writers, Prakash has observed life unfold around him and included characters and situations from real life into the worlds of his stories. Stories are a great vehicle to impart instruction, and humor induces involvement that causes lessons to stick, and so Prakash has included humor in the model developed by Aesop and Aristotle in his management consulting and business/executive/life coaching practice. When Prakash is not reading (science fiction, fantasy, mystery, humor and management insights) or writing (mystery, humor and management), Prakash loves to listen to Western classical, South Indian classical, jazz and classic rock music. He lives in New Jersey with his tolerant wife and mischievous sons.
