He was a prominent anti-war campaigner but changed his views in light of the Spanish Civil War.3. Frederick William Jowett-(1864-1944) an early ILP member, and founder of the Bradford branch. 4. Percy Williams-an ILP treasurer.5. Sam Leckie - the representative of the Midlands Division of the ILP.6. John McGovern-(1887-1968), a leading proponent of the ILP's policies after it detached from the Labour Party.7. John Alpin-an ILP divisional organiser.8. John McNair-(1887-1968), an ILP member, he travelled to Spain in the early days of the Spanish Civil War with John McGovern, and made arrangements for British volunteers to fights with the POUM, these volunteers included George Orwell. Orwell and McNair in Spain met as members as the ILP, as described in Homage to Catalonia. 9. Kate (Florence) Spurrell-an ILP candidate who stood for Camborne in the 1931 election. 10. Tom Reed-?11. Campbell Stephen-(1884-1947), a clergyman and ILP member, representing Glasgow Camlachie. 12. James Carmichael-(1894-1966), a prominent figure of the Scottish ILP, his father George had been an ILP founder member. 13 M Winifred Evans-? The authors own book with his bookplate to the endpaper. The fourth volume in Powell's sequence of novels "Dance to the Music of Time.". Book is very good++ and bright. A very bright example and no fading to the pink spine.
