Four volumes, full blue leather, four bands on spine. Edgewear to boards, and somewhat to spine, but still very handsome. Leather recently treated. Extra-illustrated, with a total of 76 plates. Each volume has about a dozen plates at the rear, and then several more scattered throughout the text (and frontis). Foxing to some plates, minor foxing to some pages, generally very clean. This set came to us with troubled endpapers; we replaced them with blue marbled endpapers from a different 19th-century set: although not original, they look great. All edges gilt. Overall, VG and an excellent way to have Lord Byron in your library. Childe Harold's Pilgrimage I-IV, Manfred, Beppo, Mazeppa, Hebrew Melodies ("She Walks in Beauty"), Ode to Napoleon, Monody on the Death of Sheridan, etc. etc. Bookseller Inventory #
