Davenant's "Works," "Consisting Of Those Which Were Formerly Printed, And Those Which He Design'd For The Press: Now Published Out Of The Authors Originall Copies." 18th century tooled brown calf boards, contemporarily rebacked by a Master Binder of Cambridge, with crimson letteringpiece, gilt extras. The spine in 6 (six) compartments with raised bands. Fresh endpapers. Copper engraved Frontispiece extant, although the blank margins are missing, and it has been pasted to a endsheet of the period. 486 pages total. The textblock is remarkably clean and free of any foxing or dampstains. Some printed decorative headpieces and tailpieces throughout. Separate interior title pages throughout. A remarkable copy.
