About this Item

Book has barely any wear to the edges and extremities; the bottom corners are lightly bumped and the black cloth of the bottom 1/2" to 1" of the spine panel is faded to a light gray; the binding is square and solid, the pages cream colored, clean, and unmarked, save for prior owner's name on the front free endpaper; gilt titling on black cloth spine beginning to wear, with some letters partially worn; the endpapers are age tanned, heavily on the paste-downs near the hinges. An anthology of stories by authors that include Lester del Rey, Theodore Sturgeon, Murray Leinster, Henry Kuttner, H P Lovecraft, Manly Wade Wellman, Seabury Quinn, August Derleth, and others, from Weird Tales, Astounding Stories, Amazing Stories, Westminster Magazine, Esquire, and Thrilling Wonder Stories, in 466 pages of "strange ideas," "fresh variants," and "horrors" (Strong's title divisions).
