Prospectus or salesman's sample copy. Hardcover in dark green cloth lettered in gilt and with tipped on front cover illustration, sample of the spine is part of the rear cover. Eight preliminary pages of photographs, additional section of photographic plates, several sample pages of text and list of the dead; advert page and several lines blanks for orders. Affixed to the front free endpaper is an information sheet and ap[plication to become a member of the sales force for the Silverton Publishing Company. Laid in is an additional sheet titled "A Whirlwind Canvass", two sides, encouraging sales and highlighting some of the contents of the book. The gilr stamping on the covers is quite dulled.
