About this Item

Booklet in colorful glossy wraps with no creases; as new unread save for one small, 1/4-inch cut to bottom of front wrap. Errata sheet bound in at title page reads: "ERRATA CORRECTIONS / Please be aware that we are aware of the many typos in this First Edition / We feel that the life-saving information contained in this book is too important to wait for reprinting. . . . Subsequent editions will be reformatted and corrected." Although his operation showed some of the signs of Multi-Level Marketing, the author was famously arrested and prosecuted -- and saw his silver coins seized -- for, essentially, the crime of creating a private paper currency redeemable in silver, meaning his notes (given our caveat about his "redemption centers") were more sound, more stable, and more valuable than the government's own irredeemable and thus (finally) worthless fiat "Federal Reserve Notes." Separate color brochure laid in, headlined "1999 The Countdown has begun / Y2K$ Money / America's Survival Currency Backed By Silver." Also laid in is a $1 "Liberty Currency Silver Certificate," mint save for one small corner crimp, signed by von NotHaus, dated Sep 09 1999 and supposedly redeemable for 1/10th oz. silver, said note itself a $17 value. 104 pp. including index and undisturbed mail-in coupons (at least one of which expired 10/1/99) at rear. Here reduced from $100. Bookseller Inventory # 004460

About this title

Synopsis:

Written by architect and self-appointed economist, Bernard von NotHaus, this book support alternative money and currency solutions and NORFED, the National Organization for the Repeal of the Federal Reserve Act and the Internal Revenue Code. For years America was cursed with the slow, poor US Postal Service. Finally the express package industry brought competition to this heavily subsidized government agency that no one thought could ever be changed. It improved noticeably. American Liberty Currency emulates this model by bringing competition to America's monetary system. Written as a prelude to Y2K, this book maintains its relevance even today as it shows that Americans can prosper without depending on government to print money, but by a return to the gold and silver standards of the past.
