About this Item

The story behind the teacher's strike during the autumn of 1968 which the rest of the country watched with foreboding, The event started with an anti-Vietnam demonstration earlier in the year and then broke into other issues: left against center and right, peace against war, youth against age, black and Latino poor against white middle-class. The events are portrayed by author Rossner, a teacher, and another ant-strike teacher, and the school principal. Nice copy, trightly bound without hinge problems, a first edition with 'first published by" statement, no namesor other markings, The DJ is an unlaminated plain paper type (thus subject to wear) bfut it has survived remarkably well, not price clipped, not edgeworn, one small closed tear, slight rubbing on the rear panel and folds, but now protected by a removable mylar sleeve.
