This VG-, format #1 book (tan binding, decorated eps) has a slight lean, with bumped head and heel of the spine and no corner bumps or edge dings. The front panel illustration is in very good condition. Except for a name and address on the back of the frontis, the interior is free of writing, stray marks and page damage; there are several early pages that have a stain in the lower front corner but the text is not affected. Hinges are strong, paper is quite flexible and frontis + 3 (on plain paper) is intact. The G+ jacket has a closed 1" tear at the top of the rear panel, small chips at both rear corners, medium sized chips at the front corners and chips at the head and heel of the spine--with all those chips, only part of the publisher's name at the bottom of the spine is affected.
