Illustrated with photographs. The American nicknamed "England's Good Mascot" offers his memoirs of the game as well as his thoughts about the cricket in America. William Henry Sayen (1883-1965) was the only American to play for a Gentlemen of England XI (in 1908) and came to be recognized as an ambassador for cricket, especially in the United States, where he was born at St. Davids, Pennsylvania, close by the famed Germantown Cricket Club.
