Illustration of GI on front holding carbine. End papers and pages are toned. Front board has a stain and sunned spot. DJ is in tatters with whole chunks missing. DJ front almost intact save a chink on the top corner (sunned spot here). Corners are bumped and rubbed. No owner's names. Tex/illustration pages are very clean almost white with very, very faint edge toning. Black and white drawings, with a few color illustrations, a graphic memoir of the artist's time on the Western Front. Verses by Hilmar Baukage, P.V. T. A. E. F. accompany drawings. Unpaginated.
