String binding, with red cloth covered paper wrapper, cloth drapes passed the borders of the wrapper. Minor soiling and fraying of cloth, still a striking binding. Binding loose but intact. 319 pages, printed in orange ink, with dragon decorated border on each pages. Lord Gilhooley was the pseudonym of Frederick Henri Seymour (1850-1913). This volume contains a story (from title page, "Ye strange relation of a vysyt of ye spiryt of Yen Hui, Ye dyscyple of Confucius to Sir Patrick Gylhooley, Bart., at hys chambers at the Inner Temple, London, and ye strange circumstances connected therewyth.
