Original tan board with new spine and labels. 4 3/4 X 7 1/4 inches. 182 pages. BAL 13037 with errata slip in the back. Copy contains 33 poems and 36 sonnets. Lowell (1819-1891) was an American romantic poet, editor, critic and diplomat. He was associated with the Fireside Poets. Lowell has said about " Year's Life" that it owes all its beauty to his wife Maria." A previous owner wrote in pencil their name and "Boston, 17th Aug. 1841" on the upper portion of the title page.
