In it, MacLeish uses the poems of William Butler Yeats to address the modern beliefs and philosophical ideas in vogue, such as existentialism and new theology, among others, in an effort to discover the meaning or purpose of life. In GOOD condition with moderate browning along the extremities of the wraps. Several small spots of soiling to the front wrap near the center fore edge, with otherwise minor soiling. Previous owner's name typed at the upper rear cover. Minor creasing along the extremities. Small split at the head of the spine, with a small tear at the center rear fore edge.
