First edition hard back binding in publisher's original black cloth covers, dulled gilt title and author lettering to the spine. 8vo. 9½'' x 6¼''. Contains 303 [24 page catalogue] printed pages of text with 27 monochrome photographs throughout. Rubbing to the spine ends and corners, slight spine slant, cheap paper slightly tanned to the margins, no dust wrapper. Australian born officer of The Royal Navy, counter-intelligence officer and a British Conservative Party Politician who was instrumental in infiltrating the Hindu-German Conspiracy during the First World War. Inside the front cover is an original typed letter by the author on his personal letter-headed paper 'Admiral Sir Guy Gaunt, Tangier, Morocco' referring to the publication of this book, sadly he did not sign it.
