About this Item

272pp. + 10pp. ad. Original green cloth with a design in three columns: a boy with a gun, a tent, and a boy with a letter. Illustrated with a frontispiece by A.B. Shute. This is one of the post-humous Algers, completed by the Stratemeyer Syndicate. The first edition was published by the Stitt Publishing Co. This is an unusual edition with Chatterton-Peck as the publisher on the title page, but the name at the base of the spine in Grosset & Dunlap. Top corners gently bumped. Some offsetting to the prelims and the back free endpaper. A presentable copy of an uncommon Alger. Size: 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Bookseller Inventory # 003811
