About this title

Young and Debft Free: Practical Advice for the financially challenged is a very candid collection of testimonies, advice and references from fellow twenty-somethings on: Financial struggles How to increase your income Student loans How to deal and conquer credit card debt How to conquer post college disappointment How to use other people’s money to start your own business How to find money to go back to school How to accumulate 1,000,000 dollars How to clear your credit

From the Inside Flap:

Many people say "money can t make you happy". Well to be honest, I don t know too many happy broke people. I am not advocating that money can buy happiness but it can pay your bills and bring comfort. Lack of money or not enough limits choices, opportunities and dreams. I initially titled the book "I have a college degree, why am I still broke" as a testimony to the post college struggles of many of my peers. I found that title to be a bit self-defeating, and upon the advice of a friend settled on: Young and debt free: Practical Advice for the financially challenged. This title is more appropriate and encompassed my goals for the book. This book has been written from contributions by my peers, self-proclaimed former financial basket cases. The purpose is to give you straightforward answers and painful insight and hindsight to the countless financial issues that plague many young people today.
