Lee and Shepard, New York, 1889. Hardcover, 150 pp. Written for children and illustrated with 85 engravings of birds. Good with some light water stains to a few early pages. Stains, general soiling and pencil marks on paper-covered boards. Edge wear and shelf wear, rubbed corners and light fraying of spine ends. Free of names or writing. Solid, despite defects.
