It was run first from The Nation office, afterward from the office of the Irish Catholic. Vol. 2 contains stories by T.M.Healy, John George McCarthy. Throughout the 16 thick quarto volume a fine supply of fiction, mostly national in tone is found, suited to boys. Other writers for it were Patrick O'Conor MacLaughlin, Attie O'Brien,M.Mackey, Major Alfred Rochfort, William Boyle, Richard Dowling, Miss O'N.
