About this Item

This is a rich little book of some 70 pages of text in Dutch, and about 40 pages of photographs by Hooykaas. The essay is by Bert Schierbeek. This volume comes to us from the library of the Dutch writer Janwillem van de Wetering, whose first book entitled "The Empty Mirror" documented his experience at a Zen monastery in Japan. Van de Wetering now lives here in Maine, and though the text may be unfamiliar to us, the photographs are very illuminating. Great gift. The DJ is protected with a Mylar covering. Size: 6.5x11.75.
