About the Author:

Rhoda Stewart, Professor of English at Napa Valley College, was born in eastern Saskatchewan, Canada. She earned her B.A. from Waterloo University College, Ontario, Canada in 1963, her M.A. from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 1968, and by 1974 had earned her Ph.D. and moved to San Francisco, CA to begin work as a photographer. Shortly after joining the faculty at Napa Valley College in 1978, Rhoda had photography and articles appearing in such journals as Wine Country magazine, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, and Practical Winery & Vineyard.
