Together with a rare maculature impression of the same print (an impression made from an engraved plate to remove ink from the recessed areas).Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Gerard de Lairesse' after own design. Gerard de Lairesse (1640-1711) was a Dutch Golden Age engraver, painter and art theorist. Painter and etcher. Born at Liege, 1660 to Berlin, 1665 to Amsterdam; moved to The Hague around 1684. Condition: Very good, given age. Small margins, some restorations, faint stains. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
