Original set of 4 finely engraved attractive prints, titled: 'Fruling - Sommer - Herbst - Winter / Le printemps - L' ete - L'automne - L'hiver'. It shows: a set of four prints, together the four seasons. Spring (Marz/March) shows a Putto holding a torch, seated on a basket of flowers in front of which two doves 'kiss'. Summer (Junius/June) shows a fisherman at water's edge. Autumn (Spetember) shows a resting harvester/reaper with his tools and shocks of corn. Winter (December) shows a man skating on ice in front of a snow-covered cottage. Rare Original etching/engraving on a vellin type paper. Description: Separately published master prints. Published ca. 1800. Our definition of a Master Print is a seperately published print or series of prints, not being an illustrative print to a text.
