Crayon style lithograph on Chine-collee on wove (vellin) paper. Description: "Die vorzüglichsten Gemälde der Königlichen Galerie in Dresden", 1836-1866. After an original painting, the same size, in the Dresden Royal Gallery. Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Carl Straub' after 'Cornelius Bega'. Carl Straub (1805-1851) was a German lithographic artist. Cornelis Pietersz. Bega or Begijn (1631-1664) was a Dutch Golden Age painter and engraver. He was a student of Van Ostade and produced genre scenes with similar subjects. Condition: Very good, given age. Very faint soiling in the margins. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
