Original etching/engraving on a vellin type handlaid paper. Description: This print originates from Jacopo Barozzi da Vignola's 'Le Nouveau Vignole ou Regles des Cinq Ordres d'Architecture' (Paris: Chereau, 1755). This work was originally published in 1562.Artists and Engravers: According to the title page, the engravings in this edition were designed and engraved by Babel. Pierre-Edme Babel (1720-1775) was a French engraver. He designed pieces for the Palace of Versailles. Condition: Excellent, given age.
