Description: These original authentic rare old emblem / engraving / print originates from a 1756 edition of "De Leermeester der Zeden, vertoont in Horatius zinnebeelden .", published by Tjeert Bliek in Amsterdam. Fokke (one emblem on the dedication page shows his name) after "Emblemata Horatium", by O. Vaenius (Otto van Veen; 1556-1629). The accompanying text consist of poems by Anthony Janssen van ter Goes (1626-1699) Condition: Fine; age related toning; some light staining from handling as visible on the scanned images.
