Description: This antique engraving originates from: 'Natural History, General and Particular by the Count de Buffon Translated into English by William Smellie', published in London by W. Stahan & T. Cadell in 1785. Artists and Engravers: Andrew Bell (1726 - 1809) was a Scottish engraver and printer, who co-founded Encyclopaedia Britannica with Colin Macfarquhar. Condition: Good. General age related toning and minimal staining and/or soiling. Storage location: C24-25 The overall size is ca. 4.7 x 8.5 inch. The image size is ca. 3.9 x 5.7 inch.
