Plate: Plan de la Ville de Pompei (Plan of pompeii). Original aquatint etching on a vellin type paper. Description: This original print originates from: "Pompeja. Traite pittoresque, historique et geometrique. Ouvrage dessine sur les lieux dans les annees 1824 au 1827" by Paolo Fumagalli. This book was published around 1830 in Florence, at the expense of the author.Artists and Engravers: Engraved by Fumagalli after his own design. Condition: Very good, given age. Foxing in the margins, dampstain to the top left corner (not affecting image). General age-related toning and/or slight stains from handling. Please study scan carefully. Storage location: E24-02 The overall size is ca. 17.9 x 12.2 inch. The image size is ca. 15.2 x 9.3 inch. The overall size is ca. 45.5 x 31 cm. The image size is ca. 38.5 x 23.5 cm.
