This is the third of 4 ed. published in the period 1572-1694. This work is not uniform as additional portraits were added. State: Second state of 2. Ref: Hollstein 2030. Artists and Engravers: Made by 'Hieronymus Wierix' after own design. Hieronymus Wierix (1553-1619) was one of three brothers who were all engravers. Hieronymus was a child prodigy, and became a master in Antwerp in 1572, where he would remain his whole life. He worked for various publishers including Plantin, as well as publishing himself. Condition: Very good, given age. Large margins, old ink line borders added. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
