Map 70: 'Saone et Loire.' (The Saone-et-Loire department, France). Including view of Macon, and portraits of Changarnier (1793-1877) and Lamartine (1790-1869). Engraving on a vellin type of paper with original hand colouring. Description: This original old antique print / plate originates from: 'La France et ses Colonies', by M. Vuillemin and published in Paris by J. Migeon in 1878. This plate engraved by Fillatreau.Artists and Engravers: Alexandre Vuillemin (1812-1880) was a cartographer and an book editor based in Paris, France. Despite a prolific cartographic career, much of Vuillemin's life is shrouded in mystery. Condition: Excellent given age. General age related toning. Please study scan carefully. Storage location: A236-33 The overall size is ca. 13.6 x 10.2 inch. The image size is ca. 8.7 x 7.5 inch. The overall size is ca. 34.5 x 26 cm. The image size is ca. 22 x 19 cm.
