He initially gained recognition for his portrait miniatures, painting the likes of Lord Nelson and the Duke of Rutland. In the 1790s, he shifted to print publishing, producing illustrated works such as an edition of the Bible and Hume's The History of England. His "Historic Gallery" in Pall Mall displayed commissioned works for these publications. Later in life, he became involved in religious causes and missionary work. Condition: good, given age. Light foxing, with minimal creasing and soiling. General age-related toning and/or occasional minor defects from handling. Please study scan carefully.
