Description: This scarse old antique engraved print originates from: 'Findens' Tableaux of National Character, Beauty, and Costume. Containing a series of sixty-one beautiful illustrations engraved by and under the superintendence of W. and E. Finden. With original tales in prose and Poetry. in two volumes.', published by T.G. March, London, 1843.Artists and Engravers: William Finden (1787-1852) was an English line engraver. His younger brother, Edward Finden (1791-1857), worked in conjunction with him, and so much demand arose for their productions that ultimately a company of assistants was engaged. This plate engraved by C. E. Wagstaff after J. Browne. Condition: Excellent. General age related toning and foxing. Please study scan as this shows the condion very well.
